According to applicable law, the sale of alcohol under a license at MAKRO wholesale centers can only take place upon presentation of required documents:
- A one-time retail alcohol license valid for at least 4 years, or, in the case of alcohol intended for off-premises consumption, valid for at least 2 years. The license number and expiration date are entered in our system, so before the license expires, the customer must provide a new one. Failure to do so will prevent us from selling alcohol at the licensed (lower) price.
- Three times a year – by January 31, May 31, and September 30 (the deadline is one day earlier to allow time for data entry into our system) – a license issued by the municipality confirming payment for the use of the alcohol sales license. Without these confirmations, we cannot sell alcohol under a license. Please note that, according to the law, a bank transfer confirmation is not considered a valid document proving payment.
All relevant documents must be presented at the Customer Service Department.
